What is Kid x Plus?

Kid x Plus is a free youth leadership project delivered by Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health in partnership with Sunbury Aboriginal Corporation and with support from Hume City Council’s Community Grants program.

Young people make up a large part of our community, but how many young people get to have a say about the issues that are important to them?  Decisions are made every day that will affect the future of young people, whether it is about health services, schools, the environment, or just about anything.  Kid x Plus aims to give young people between 12 and 24 years of age a voice in our community that can help shape the discussions about the issues that are important to them.  We do this by supporting young people to deliver a community event where they can give a speech or run an activity about the issues that matter to them.

Taking part in Kid x Plus takes three easy steps:

  1. Register online here
  2. Attend our speaker support sessions (more details below)
  3. Take part in our annual Kid x Plus event

See the video below for an overview of the last three years of Kid x Plus.
