Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation providing a comprehensive range of free and low-cost health, wellbeing and community services in early childhood, youth, families, adults, aged and disability.

Covering an area of over 1700 km2 from Sunbury to beyond the borders of Macedon Ranges Shire our 200 staff and 70 volunteers are based across four sites at Kyneton, Romsey and Sunbury.

About the Role

Are you looking for a part-time to full-time leadership role in a community health setting?  We are looking for a Child and Youth Health Team Leader to support our growing allied health team.  This is a newly created position where the successful candidate will initially commence working clinically until additional Grade 1 and Grade 2 team members are recruited.  There is currently another mixed discipline child and youth team which you will be working closely with.  Our teams are passionate supportive multi-disciplinary teams that make a difference in the local community through multiple funding schemes. We also have a flexible start date!

About You

You will have the ability to:

  • Foster a culture of flexibility and innovation within the team
  • Oversee the team’s ongoing development and management; the Team Leader will also hold a clinical caseload
  • Champion performance improvement and operational efficiencies within the team, collaborating closely with the manager to meet budgetary requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other allied health teams and support services to develop, refine and implement systems improvements and efficiencies
  • Support clinicians to deliver services under HACC, Community Health, NDIS and SRF funding streams and provide supervision, support and mentoring of staff within the team
  • Take a lead role in program specific accreditations and quality assurance
  • Evaluate and provide innovation of programs, looking to increase service delivery
