Marilyn was a young wife, mother and community-oriented person when she joined the Sunbury Community Health Ladies Auxiliary for its social and fundraising activities. After taking on the role of President of the Auxiliary, she joined the Committee of Management and continued her supportive role for 16 years. She served a term as the Treasurer of the Committee and was a tireless and conscientious worker dedicated to the good work of the organisation. After the Ladies Auxiliary disbanded her contribution continued with the same enthusiasm and work ethic for which she is well known. Marilyn was awarded Life Governorship in 1986 in recognition of her substantial contribution to the Ladies Auxiliary and for her participation as a long-term Committee member.
