Kerry Price

Kerry Price was the first Life Governor of Sunbury Community Health in 1978. She was an active community worker and established a craft group for people to connect with one another. Kerry was one of the early contacts for the newly appointed staff in 1976. Her networking and advocacy for the ‘at home’ women in the area encouraged her to join the Committee of Management in 1977. She was able to promote health and wellbeing issues and believed that supporting people in the community was of benefit to the whole community. If people worked together and had fun doing it then anything was possible. She helped establish the Ladies Auxiliary to raise money for community health to provide more services for the growing community. Her energetic and positive approach contributed to the values-based direction for community health in Sunbury.
