The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign raising awareness of and challenging gender-based violence that runs from 25 November to 10 December each year.

We are coordinating several activities along with our partners during this year’s 16 Days including a morning tea where people will hear from guest speakers who, through either their work or their personal interests, are inspiring women and girls to feel empowered, motivated and equally valued members of the community.

Speakers include Raquel Stewart, CEO at Sunbury Aboriginal Corporation, Isabella Rosinsky, manager of Goonawarrah Neighbourhood House, financial counsellor Nel Staite and local youth leader and allergy awareness advocate, Kara Gifford.
