Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health’s mental health team is looking for a fantastic Children’s Mental Health Clinician.

About the Role

  • Improve life outcomes for children with cognitive, emotional or social concerns
  • Provide education and support for families and carers on how they can support their child
  • Conduct assessments, and formulate treatment planning as part of a multidisciplinary team

An amazing candidate would have the following:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment and neurobiology frameworks and theories.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the mental health needs of children, and the capacity to engage children and carers/parents in the counselling process.
  • Robust understanding and facilitation of an evidence based therapeutic framework.
  • Highly developed ability to provide secondary consultation and advice to clinicians and other professionals.
