Housing Support for Young People in the Macedon Ranges

Our youth housing program provides assistance to Macedon Ranges* young people, aged 15 to 25 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

*If you live in Sunbury and you need housing support call Vincent Care on 1800 825 955.

Our case managers work in partnership with young people to explore housing options which may include access to youth housing, support in Kids Under Cover applications, social/community housing, or private rental.  The program also provides support to explore and engage in education/training or employment and linkages to the community and other services.  Where possible, we will also work with the young person’s family to resolve conflict and explore housing options.

Intensive support is provided to young people staying in crisis accommodation such as a caravan, tent, couch surfing, car and hotel/motel.

Developing Independent Living Skills

Do you need some guidance to develop your independent living skills?   The Youth Housing team, in conjunction with a group of young people from the Macedon Ranges, have created WALTER (Work and Lifeskills Tips ETC Resource). WALTER is part of a life skills program and is a handy guide outlining important information and assistance to young people when living independently.
