We provide confidential individual counselling for people experiencing issues related to their use of alcohol and other drugs (AOD).  Our counsellors help people to identify and address concerns, mental health problems and life’s challenges.

We promote the wellbeing of individuals, their families and our community by reducing the harms associated with alcohol and other drug use.

Support provided will be based on individual needs and goals; our services provide a space where people can feel respected, accepted and listened to in an open and non-judgmental way, to restore hope and meaning in people’s lives.

AOD counselling may include:

  • Assessment related to use
  • Goal setting
  • Harm minimisation strategies
  • Relapse prevention strategies
  • Referral to appropriate internal and external services e.g. housing support, emergency relief, withdrawal, GP and mental health support.

What can we offer?

Both self-referrals and GP referrals are welcomed.  We work with local health providers and can link people with appropriate services to meet their needs.

Youth AOD Outreach Counselling

Youth AOD Counselling is similar to adult counselling, but we understand that young people often have different needs and may like to access counselling in different venues.

Counselling can happen in our buildings but it can also be offered in a location that may be more comfortable for young people such as at their home, school or a safe public space like a park or café.
