About Children’s Health and Wellbeing Locals
Children’s Health and Wellbeing Locals provide easy access to health and wellbeing support for children and their families and carers.
The services support children aged 0 to 11 years of age who may be experiencing developmental, emotional, relational and behavioural challenges, while also providing support to their families and carers.
You can get advice and support from a range of health professionals who specialise in infant and child development, behaviour and relationships, including:
- Paediatricians
- Psychologists
- Child psychiatrists
- Speech pathologists
- Occupational therapists
- Family services workers
Children’s Health and Wellbeing Locals can also link you with other services you might find helpful, depending on your needs and preferences.
Support is available by appointment for families and carers residing in the local area. Children’s Health and Wellbeing Locals are free and you do not need a referral to book an appointment. Services are also provided in a range of local community settings that families and carers may find more comfortable and accessible.
