Dental Outreach – Early Years and Primary Schools
Our friendly and experienced team of dental therapists are passionate about educating children about the importance of good oral health.
We are currently running a free outreach screening program, where our dental therapists visit early years services in the Macedon Ranges, Sunbury and surrounding areas.
During the visit, our dental therapists perform a quick mouth check to identify any major dental problems. Parents are informed about the outcome of the screening with a written report. Children with dental problems are encouraged to seek dental treatment as soon as possible.
In some cases, our therapists may apply a fluoride varnish to prevent dental decay. A diet and oral hygiene information session is also provided to the class as a group.
If you are interested in having us come to your child’s primary school or early years service, please ask the primary school or kindergarten to contact us to make arrangements.
All children are encouraged to have regular dental check-ups.
