Residents in Sunbury and the surrounding area are set to benefit from a $3 million injection through the Victorian 2021 Budget. The money will be used by Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health to expand vital community facilities in the region and support the growth of essential services for young people and families.
We have seen an increase in demand for all of our services and this will only continue with an additional 19,000 extra homes being built in the Sunbury/Diggers Rest corridor in coming years. Over the last year there has been a noticeable spike in requests for family violence support and support for young people with mental health concerns.
We congratulate the Victorian State Government for their significant investment in local health services and thank our MP Josh Bull for his advocacy.
