This month we celebrate 10 years of being Rainbow Tick accredited.

The Rainbow Tick is a quality framework that helps health and human services organisations show that they are safe, inclusive and affirming services and employers for the LGBTIQA+ community.

Cobaw Community Health was the third organisation in Victoria to achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation.  This coincided with an important court case that was heard in December 2014 at the High Court in Melbourne around Christian Youth Camp’s unlawful refusal of a booking for an LGBTI camp for young people that we were organising.

Click here for a summary of the case which has been cited as being an important test case of anti-discrimination laws.  You can also read the Melbourne Law Review discussion on the case here.
